NETLON TAKING
TURF PROTECTION TO BTME
The BTME exhibition
at Harrogate in January 2003 will see Netlon Turf Systems taking
a stand for the second time in as many years.
Following the
success of its debut at the 2002 event, Netlon will be exhibiting
its complete range of turf protection solutions on stand D17 at
the exhibition, which will run from 21 to 23 January.
The company
used BTME 2002 as the springboard from which to launch its new Netpave
25, an easy-lay turf protection system which has since made a considerable
impact on the golf market. Its flexible design enables it to be
used on sloping surfaces and hilly ground, while its simple clip-together
paver format means it can be laid quickly and easily and even taken
up and re-laid elsewhere when no longer required.
Netpave 25,
which is installed on top of existing grass, is ideally suited to
golf courses and has already been used to provide overspill and
temporary car parking and to protect access routes over grassed
areas on a number of courses. Both
Netpave 25 and its heavier-weight cousin, Netpave 50, consist of
half metre square paver units which simply clip together to provide
protection for turf. Once laid the grass grows through and the pavers
virtually disappear. Netpave
25 gives permanent or temporary protection from human and light
vehicle traffic, while Netpave 50 is designed to provide permanent
parking and access for both domestic and commercial traffic.
Other products
in Netlon's turf protection range include Turfguard, a tough, flexible
and easy-to-lay mesh which provides a level of protection against
occasional parking of stable vehicles, and Netlon's unique Advanced
Turf System, which provides a permanent, natural grass surface with
in-built 'shock absorbers' capable of handling a variety of vehicular
access and parking requirements.
