NETLON RESTRUCTURING PROVIDES MAJOR CUSTOMER BENEFITS

Originally formed in 1952, Netlon has built an unrivalled reputation for the development and manufacture of polymeric mesh products. One of the major areas of development has been in the provision of solutions for ground stabilisation and soil reinforcement, with these products being marketed under the brand name of Tensar.

As part of a re-structuring programme the Group has announced that, as of June 5th, it will change its name to Tensar International and this will be the trading company name for Tensar, Netlon Industrial Products and Netlon Turf Systems.

The change has been driven by the considerable expansion of the Tensar business over recent years, which has seen the company open offices in Indonesia, China, Holland, the Czech Republic, Germany and Sweden.

The Netlon brand will continue to be used for the wide range of industrial products - including everything from protective sleeving to specialised products for filtration, and bespoke meshes for a wide cross section of industries - and for the highly specialised turf protection products.

Ronnie Doctor, Business Manager for Industrial Products and Turf Systems, said that underlying the name change was a re-structuring programme which would bring major benefits to customers of both Netlon product ranges.

"We remain the only UK manufacturer of polymeric mesh products, making us the first choice for rapid production of customer-specific products. As part of the re-structuring we have consolidated all our manufacturing capabilities in one modern plant alongside our technical laboratories and quality control centre. At the same time we have improved and expanded our logistics facilities.

"As a result we are in a position to offer Netlon customers improved levels of service across the board - from development, through manufacture, to rapid deliveries. No other UK business in our field is currently in a position to provide such a comprehensive service."
