General
FAQs appropriate to all products

 |
Which product is the
most suitable for my project and how do I specify it? |
 |
This will depend upon the
type of application plus the frequency of traffic, and also the ground conditions
and construction limitations on site. Please refer to our Product selector, Design
advice, Specification Advice or Contact Netlon. |

 |
What is the sub-grade CBR% strength referred to in your design literature and do we need a sub-base ? |
 |
The CBR% figure indicates the measured strength (resistance) of a given sub-grade (sub-soil). Once identified, it enables us to determine whether a sub-base (hardcore) layer is required and its thickness. Contact Netlon for further advice. |

 |
Which grass seed blend or turf type should I use for the finished surface of Advanced Turf, Netpave 50 or Turfguard? |
 |
You can specify your preferred seed or turf mixture to suit the specific project. With Advanced Turf, Netlon will supply either a seeded or washed turf finish as required. Conventional turf is unsuitable for use on an Advanced Turf surface. Contact Netlon for further advice. |

 |
How soon can each of the Turf Systems products be trafficked after installation? |
 |
Each of
the 4 products, Advanced Turf, Netpave 50, Netpave 25 and Turfguard
requires a different period during which it will need for the
grass to establish prior to use. This will depend upon the individual
application, the grass establishment method/maintenance and
the time of year in which it is installed. Specific advice can
be found on individual product literature, design advice and
the product selector. Netpave 25 and Netpave 50 with a gravel
finish can be trafficked immediately. |

 |
Do you have a product that can be laid on the surface and then lifted up again after use? |
 |
Yes,
Netpave 25 is intended to be laid directly on top of a grassed
surface and provide a level of protection for the grass against
wear from trafficking. Netpave 25 is primarily intended to be
laid permanently, however in small areas it can be used for
temporary use since it is relatively easy to lay and remove. |

 |
Are any of your products suitable for installation onto slopes? |
 |
Yes, but each product has its limitations on sloping surfaces and specialist advice should be obtained from a Netlon |
